Start with what you need#

Before opening checkout, list three tasks you want Grok to handle: for example editing text, working with attachments and occasionally making an image. Try them in your available account and note where access or usage limits stop you.

You need the correct signed-in account, purchase channel, current plan and monthly budget. We recommend paying for a specific missing capability or repeatedly exhausted allowance. A higher price alone does not guarantee accurate answers.

If you are choosing a subscription for Bot, first read plans and usage for Grok Bot. Assess your budget against the specific task and the information shown in your account.

A quick choice: start initial trials with the free access available to you. For Grok Bot, check Premium, Super or Ultra eligibility; Plus alone does not include Bot according to the documentation. Buy more capacity based on actual usage. Bot access scope.

Current public prices#

Before confirming a purchase, compare the total, currency, billing period and renewal date. A website price is not evidence of your final local checkout amount. When comparing monthly and annual billing, record the amount charged upfront too.

SuperGrok and the new combined subscription#

If your account shows SuperGrok, do not automatically apply the new pricing table. Your existing plan and the offer shown when changing it matter. Before combining accounts, list how you sign in to Grok, X and Cursor, with the latest receipt for each.

Check before confirming: the selected accounts are yours, the personal or work workspace is correct, you understand the total new price and what happens to existing payments.

API access and usage are different#

You do not need the API just to chat. If you connect an application, budget separately for its calls and tools. A chat subscription should not be treated as a cost cap for your own software.

For the technical workflow, see API.

Check or cancel your subscription#

  1. Find your latest receipt and account name first.
  2. Open the relevant billing channel; record the plan and renewal date before changing anything.
  3. Complete the change and save its confirmation. Check whether the account shows another renewal or an end date.

If your paid plan is missing, compare your sign-in method with the receipt first. Buying again could compound the problem. If the details do not match, give support the receipt number and a description without card details.
