Grok on X

Turn a public post into a verifiable brief, and identify which settings belong to X.

Where to start#

You need your X account and a link to a public post or a clearly defined question. Investigate a specific claim rather than a vague “what is happening today”. That makes the result easier to verify.

Grok inside X and standalone Grok may have different settings. Do not apply a button path from one product to the other.

Check a specific post#

  1. Open the original post and copy its link. Note the author, date and context.
  2. Paste the link into Grok and explain which claim needs checking.
  3. Request links to primary evidence and a separation of verified and uncertain points.
  4. Open the links yourself. Compare the source text with what the answer attributes to it.
Check the claim in this public post: [link]. Separate what the author says, what the primary source confirms and what remains unverified. Give the event date and publication date. If you cannot open the link, say so; do not invent its contents.

The intended result is a short brief with primary links and unresolved questions. This is an example prompt; success on a particular post was not personally tested.

What to check before using the answer#

  • Quotation: does the source contain those words, or is it a paraphrase?
  • Timing: is a new post describing an older event?
  • Scope: is this one person’s experience or evidence about a wider group?
  • Origin: is the link merely another copy of the same unverified claim?

If the answer did not read the link, paste a short relevant excerpt and label it as the author’s claim. Do not present it as confirmed fact. For a disputed claim, look for the original document or the affected party’s statement too.

Privacy and subscriptions on X#

Check X and standalone Grok settings separately using Privacy. Chatting, publishing a post and sending someone a link are different actions; review both content and audience before sharing.

If you are moving from legacy X Premium, see subscription transition. The word Premium in an old guide is not enough to establish current benefits. On legacy X Premium, which existing subscribers keep at their current price until they switch, only Premium+ includes SuperGrok and Grok Bot; the Premium plan with Grok Bot in the Grok Bot chapter is part of The X Subscription.

If the icon is missing, check the account and app version. Compare web and mobile, but do not treat a difference as proof that a feature was removed. For X account questions, use X Help.

Distinguish @grok from @bot#

Do not confuse tagging @grok with handing a task to Bot through @bot. Find the workflow and conditions for this integration in Grok Bot on X.

This restriction concerns handing a task to a Bot through a post tag. Do not treat it as evidence that ordinary chat through the Grok icon or the entire Grok Bot app is unavailable in Europe.

Product claims are based on publicly opened sources. We did not personally test a signed-in Slovak account. Prompts are original examples; sample outputs are illustrative.
