What you need#
Prepare a standard browser, a few notes without sensitive information and a few minutes to review the result. Avoid a work contract or your entire inbox for the first attempt. Pick a task whose correct facts you already know.
Open the service and sign in#
- Open grok.com and check the address.
- Use Sign in for an existing account or Sign up for a new one. Complete the current on-screen flow. Do not put a password or verification code in the chat.
- If you already have an account or subscription, use your original sign-in method. Note whether you are on the web or in an app.
- Find the message field and paste the request below. This task does not require connecting another account.
Give a request with a clear outcome#
Write a short email to colleagues in natural English. Goal: reschedule a work meeting. Facts: the original time was Tuesday at 10:00; the proposed new time is Wednesday at 14:00; the duration remains 30 minutes. Ask colleagues to confirm whether the new time works for them. Tone: friendly and direct. At most 90 words. Do not invent a reason, date or names. Return a subject and email body.
Send the request using the control beside the message field. The result should be a draft to review, not an automatically sent email. A usable draft preserves both times, the meeting duration and the request for confirmation.
Check the content before using it#
- Compare Tuesday/Wednesday, 10:00/14:00 and 30 minutes with your notes.
- Look for added facts: a reason, specific date or signature you did not provide.
- Read the draft aloud. Does it sound like something you would send?
- Move it into your email only after checking recipients and timing. If a specific date matters, add it explicitly.
An illustrative result might begin “Hi everyone, I propose moving our meeting…”. This is not a transcript of an actual Grok response.
Improve one specific thing#
Keep all the facts. Shorten the text to no more than 50 words and remove the formal introduction. Keep the final question asking whether the new time works.
If the draft fails, identify the error directly: “You added a reason that was not in my notes. Remove it.” Continue in the same conversation when working on the same email. A new chat is useful for a new topic or to separate unrelated context.
If the message field is missing or the service does not respond, check your connection and the address. Before paying for an apparently missing feature, verify the account you signed in to. Continue with writing and correcting prompts or finding your way around.
